Kraft participated in The New Normal, a research and publishing program examining the transformations of cities under conditions of geopolitical fragmentation, platform economies, ecological crisis, and artificial intelligence.
The program mapped automated landscapes and planetary-scale infrastructures: supply chains, communication networks, energy systems, and logistical megastructures, approaching the city as a computational and ecological assemblage. Software was treated not as a tool layered onto urban space, but as a material condition shaping governance, representation, and everyday life. Within this context, Kraft contributed to the exploration of AI as an embedded, distributed urban phenomenon - less a centralized intelligence than a diffuse augmentation of surfaces, systems, and processes. The publication reflects a broader inquiry into how computational models do not merely represent cities, but actively reorganize them, opening questions of protocol, planning, and alternative platform futures.
