The CYLAND Video Archive, established in 2008, is one of the first comprehensive online platforms dedicated to video art. It serves as an open-access repository, making a wide range of video works and films available for public viewing on its official website. From its inception, the archive was conceived as a progressive initiative to promote video art globally, fostering exchange between established and emerging artists while building an international network for collaboration and dialogue. Beyond its archival function, the CYLAND Video Archive also acts as an educational and informational resource, producing an annual international competition program for the CYFEST media art festival.
Among the works featured in the archive are Egor Kraft’s films The URL Stone and I Print, Therefore I Am, which explore the intersections of technology, language, and perception. Through these works, Kraft engages with questions of authorship, authenticity, and digital materiality — themes that align closely with CYLAND’s mission to trace the evolving boundaries between art, media, and technological culture.
