Exhibited Work: New Now installation
Duration: 27 June – 19 September 2016
Event type: Group Show
Curator: Sergey Bratkov
Organizer: Rodchenko Art School
Venue: Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow, Russia
This milestone exhibition celebrated a decade of the Rodchenko Art School by presenting a selection of works by students and graduates that exemplify its mission to merge contemporary art with evolving media technologies. The show highlighted how emerging artists engage with digital imagery, video art and new media practices.
Egor Kraft’s New Now installation contributed to this dialogue: through the repetition of a simple phrase on-screen (“…This very moment has already become the past…”), the work mapped the tension between immediacy and memory, presence and obsolescence - key concerns at the intersection of media art and lived experience.
The exhibition underscored the School’s role as a platform for experimentation and innovation, as well as its influence in shaping a new generation of Russian media artists.
