The 12th annual Innovation Prize represents one of Russia’s most significant state‑supported accolades in contemporary art, administered by the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) and held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. According to the shortlist published ahead of the ceremony, the jury included prominent figures such as Marina Loshak (Director of the State Russian Museum), Alexander Borovsky (Head of Contemporary Art at the State Russian Museum), and Caroline Bourgeois (curator of the Pinault Collection).
Egor Kraft’s installation The New Color was presented among the featured works, aligning with the award’s mission to support artists working at the cutting‑edge of contemporary practice, media, and concept. The work engages with perceptual experience, technology and cultural memory, reflecting the broader ambition of the Innovation Prize to highlight new directions in Russian visual art practice and foster the integration of contemporary culture into international discourse.
