Exhibited Work: 'Kickback' installation
Duration: 15.06–03.09.2022
Event type: Group Show
Curator: Alexey Maslyaev
Venue: ART4 Museum, Moscow, Russia
ART4 presents the exhibition "Things" curated by Alexei Maslyaev. The project brought together works from two private collections of contemporary Russian art - the collections of Denis Khimilyaine and Sergei Limonov - and became a landmark continuation of the project of the same name at the Anna Nova Gallery (St. Petersburg).
The exhibition "Things" is a reflection on the phenomenon of collecting and the figure of the collector. When buying works of art, collectors form the rules of the game with their personal choice: they get the right to interpret, systematize, promote and preserve it.

Marble, polyamide, machine learning algorithms, custom software, original dataset, multichannel video installation.
A critical and technical exploration of the capacities of AI models to reconstruct missing fragments of objects from classical antiquity and generate synthetic historical documents carved in stone. 5-channel video installation; HD film; website: thenewcolor.net; book, edition of 50.
An online mystification concerning a parascientific breakthrough discovery of a never-before-seen colour. The digital myth took the form of a fictitious company's website, video adverts & mockumentary interviews to become a viral sensation attracting mass attention online.
