On 27 October 2024, Egor Kraft delivered a guest lecture at Joshibi University of Art and Design (Suginami Campus) titled “How are the ‘contexts’ visualized in the world of non-linear narratives?”
In this talk, Kraft probed the ways in which narrative fragments, data flows and algorithmic logics can be assembled into immersive or spatialised fields of meaning - moving beyond linear storytelling to consider how contexts themselves become dynamic, layered and visualisable. The presentation traversed media-art practices, algorithmic architectures and spatialised experiences, inviting the audience to reflect on how authorship, sequencing and context can be decoupled and re-assembled in non-linear systems.
