Exhibited Work: ''The New Color' Film
Duration: 1 March–6 March 2016
Event type: Group Show
Organizer: Union Club Studios
Venue: Union Club Studios, London, Great Britain
Playroom, an exhibition offering a different look at furniture and domestic experience, opens today in London’s Soho.
The first in a series of curatorial projects by Olga MacKenzie and Sasha Galitzine, Playroom brings 15 artists together to turn an old uninhabited Georgian building in the heart of Soho into an imaginary home. The exhibition examines the domestic environment as an installation indicative of the rituals and way of life we embrace as consumers, and implicitly poses the question — what’s the point of all this?
In addition to the curators, who are of Russian origin, Playroom also features two Russian artists. St. Petersburg-born Egor Kraft, who currently works in between London, Vienna and St Petersburg, will be exhibiting his New Color work at Playroom, while Nika Neelova from Moscow will exhibit an untitled work centered on stacked IKEA chairs.

A critical and technical exploration of the capacities of AI models to reconstruct missing fragments of objects from classical antiquity and generate synthetic historical documents carved in stone.
