Exhibited Work: 'To Say It' Installation
Duration: 23 November 2010–22 December 2010
Event type: Group Show
Curator: Volkova Tatiana
Organizer: ZHIR Gallery
Venue: ZHIR Gallery, WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art
The group exhibition To Say It at ZHIR Gallery, part of the WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, brought together a selection of emerging artists exploring the intersections of language, media, and the politics of communication in the post-digital age. Curated by Tatiana Volkova, the exhibition examined how speech, text, and visual media function as tools of both personal expression and social construction.
Within this context, Egor Kraft’s installation To Say It investigated the limits of linguistic expression and the performativity of communication in technologically mediated societies. The work reflected on the relationship between truth, representation, and collective discourse—probing how meaning is negotiated, distorted, or lost in translation across contemporary communicative systems.
