The Link was presented in the group exhibition All Eyes On Me, which examined humanity’s enduring fascination with self-representation and identity construction. The installation investigates digital-age narcissism, exploring how social media amplifies the desire to control and preserve one’s image. By tracing a historical continuum: from ancient rock carvings and Egyptian funerary cults to Renaissance portraiture and contemporary digital self-portraits - Kraft highlights the tension between the aspiration for immortality through visual preservation and the inevitable ephemerality of life, prompting reflection on the cultural, psychological, and technological mechanisms shaping self-perception and legacy.
