Join­ing forces in col­lab­o­ra­tion, th­ese found­ing mem­bers of the Film­fo­rum rep­re­sent the en­tire cin­e­mat­ic spec­trum, from film pro­mot­ers and pro­duc­ers to film­mak­ers, ed­u­ca­tors, and en­thu­si­asts. Among them are the Film­s­tif­tung NRW, the SK Stif­tung Kul­tur, the West­deutsche Rund­funk (WDR), the ifs in­ter­na­tio­nale film­schule köln, the film & fernseh pro­duzen­ten­ver­band nrw e.v., Köl­n­Musik GmbH, as well as the in­de­pen­dent film-scene coali­tion “Ki­noAk­tiv” and the Mu­se­um Lud­wig/Ci­ty of Cologne. Nu­mer­ous the­mat­ic pro­gram se­ries, film fes­ti­vals and pre­mieres, as well as lec­tures and dis­cus­sions have found a venue at the Film­fo­rum. The in­di­vi­d­u­al part­n­ers them­selves are re­spon­si­ble for the con­tent and fi­nanc­ing of all the events. To­gether they have suc­ceed­ed in estab­lish­ing the Film­fo­rum as a site for film his­to­ry and con­tem­po­rary film cul­ture, filling a gap in the cin­e­ma land­s­cape of Cologne.
